Mid Yell JHS is a non-denominational school providing education for children from Nursery to Secondary four.

The school roll is presently 82 pupils and there are a further 18 children in the Nursery class. Our primary department is divided into 2 classes: Lower Primary and Upper Primary. The secondary department has pupils from S1 to S4.

Mid Yell JHS PE Kit Policy

All pupils should aim to follow the simple guidelines below to ensure that they are properly prepared to participate in all PE activities. Failure to do so may result in a pupil not being allowed to participate in a lesson.

Top

A clean t-shirt or other suitable top for exercise.

Clothing must not be dirty when used in the leisure centre and must be different from school clothes for hygiene purposes.

Bottoms

Clean shorts, joggers, skirt or leggings suitable for exercise.

Shoes

A clean pair of non marking trainers.

These do not have to be separate PE shoes as long as they meet the previously mentioned criteria.

Bare or “sock feet” is not suitable for most activities.

Jewellery and watches

All jewellery and watches should be removed if possible including rings, chains/necklaces, bracelets, watches and ear rings in order to ensure that all pupils are safe at all times.

Stud ear rings are acceptable during classes.
